My name is Neal Walters, and I'm one of the consumer experience managers for Canon Collective in Victoria.
As you may know already, we run 6 photography events weekly throughout Victoria, which range from beginner to experienced level workshops.
On October 21st this year the Melbourne leg of the Light Awards Live comes to town.
We have 4 world class photographers [Richard I'Anson, Ben Clement, Sarah Fountain & Tony Hewitt] each putting on a specialised workshop.
Each attendee will then be given a brief and then 24 hours to take their individual photo challenge.
The next day, feedback will be given by each judge to all submitted images in their workshop.
I'm reaching out today as we'd like to offer your photography club something special.
For each member that books a spot for Melbourne's Light Awards, they will then be able to come to a tailored workshop that we will work with your photography club to achieve.
We have every piece of camera equipment on the Canon roster, from 5DIV's to 7D II's, and also a full range of Haida filters and Broncolor studio lights to utilise. If there's a technique that your club shoots more, or even something that you have wanted to tackle but haven't had the right gear or knowhow, we will be able to set a class for it.
All they'll need to do is book a spot, let you know and then once you forward the details of their booking and email to myself, we will set aside time in the month or so post Light Awards to make this happen.
I've attached the PDF which has all the details of the event on this email, but if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact myself.

I wanted to get in touch on behalf of Canon Australia to share details of an exciting event coming to Melbourne, which we'd love for your club to be a part of!
Following the success of Canon Light Awards LIVE Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane, Canon Australia is excited to announce that the Canon Light Awards LIVE is heading to Melbourne on 21 – 22 October, 2017.
We'd love if you could share this with your wider organisation – or let us know who the best person to speak to would be, to get interested participants involved.
Participants will push creativity, skill and technique to the limit under Australia's top professional photographers – choosing one of four inspiring three-hour Masterclasses, followed by an exciting 24-hour photography challenge that culminates in a live feedback session with the judges and a chance to win some amazing prizes – with the grand prize being a trip to Africa!

I am on the organising committee for the Inaugural Cavendish Red Gum Festival. Cavendish is a small town in the Southern Grampians Shire. As part of our festival we are holding a photography exhibition/competition. It would be fantastic if you could forward on or share the following information.
CRGF Arts Committee
The Cavendish Red Gum Festival 13th & 14th April 2018
"A community initiative celebrating the magnificent red gum country of Cavendish and surrounds. The event will include activities for everyone; young, old and families- kicking off with the official launch, our Red Gum Festival Opening Gala. Other highlights will be the" Red Gum Run (or Ramble)" a 4.5km run/walk along the majestic Wannon River and an environmental symposium with guest speakers and displays.
We invite sculptors, artists and photographers of all ages to celebrate our red gums by entering works in various exhibitions and competitions.
Through visits and tours to significant local red gums in conjunction with live music, food, beverages, workshops, children's activities and various red gum vendors (honey, art, craft, furniture and other artisanal works) visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy, explore and learn about our unique local environment."

FIAP World Cup for Clubs
Dear Peter,FIAP World Cup for Clubs
FIAP have just released the information and entry form for their World Cup for Clubs event for 2017. This is an event in which any camera club can participate. It is essentially a massive world wide interclub competition.
Whilst APS itself, being the Operational member for FIAP in Australia, cannot participate in this, APS members are able to enter by organising their local camera club to enter as a team. It is not a requirement to be a member of APS or for the club to be a FIAP member to be able to take part.
The FIAP website is not being currently kept up to date as a new website is being developed. In the absence of being able to provide a link to the relevant page of the FIAP website, the three documents associated with this event have been made available in the FIAP area of the APS website.
Please head to this page for all information regarding involvement with FIAP associated events
See the section there regarding this competition and follow the link for "Other FIAP Documentation" to download the entry information.
We have lots of highly successful clubs in Australia with groups entering international salons. So gather your team and have a go at this event. Time is tight with the digital upload of entries due by 10th Nov. The entry consists of 20 images with a max of 2 per person. Both club and individual awards are up for grabs.
Best of luck to those who take up this challenge. I hope to publicise any successes of our APS members and their local photography club in this event in our E-News.
